DIGITAL TIME CAPSULE:
The following is a compilation of photos, predictions, resolutions, and summaries to be enjoyed each new year.
Those involved in this blog have had some contact...some impact...on my family's life during the past year. Thank you for that, and for your participation...you will never be forgotten!
BAUER, JOHN
BAUER, JOHNMy prediction for 2007: A year from now our troops will still be fighting in Iraq, The President and the Democrats will be fighting with each other, and we as a country will be so tired of it that the Communist Party will start looking like a good alternative. I predict that while most auto manufacturers are scurrying to develop hybrid fuel vechicles, General Motors will buck the trend by coming out with a two-seater SUV the size of a motor home. Oh yeah, and I predict that some bright publisher will come up with the idea for a new book and TV special about Michael Jackson entitled "If I had molested children, this is how I would have done it".
CLARK: ADAM, KIM, MASON and BABYOur prediction for the New Year, pre-ultrasound, is that Mason will be big-brother to his new sister.
CLARKS: JONATHAN, KELLY, MADISON, ISAAC
NELSON, SHAUN [Rachel, Makyla, Ava]
PREDICTIONS: do you want a prediction in pop culture or a prediction in my family?pop culture: brit spears to remain unwed, jay-z's return to hip hop is successful, the office and my name is earl to become 2nd to american idol in tv ratings, chargers win superbowl, u of m wins national title for football
family: we will become pregnant sometime this year, i will finally finish making my rustic log kitchen table, and maybe even a 6-drawer dresser for rachel, we will vacation someplace warm with clear beaches, we will finally find a home church that we both agree on, rachel will switch to day shift on the weekends because the night shift is making her miss too much stuff on the weekends (this saturday for example), unfortunately my mom's dad will join his wife in heaven (he's 93 this month).
PEARSON: MIKE, LAURA, PAIGE and PARKER
PREDICTION/WISHES:i predict, and pray, if God so will, that by year end i will be pregnant again. i will continue to gain new clients for graphic i, and try not to overwhelm myself with throwing too many parties [although, there are already 6 in my book!] tony will own true north real estate and have a successful year for all of the hard work that he puts in and for his amazing character. colin will fully grasp being a big brother, while taking his vocabulary and knowledge far beyond mom and dad [smarty pants]. alex will begin walking by 10 1/2 months and be a beautiful little stinker who knows what she wants and goes after it, just like her mommy. tony and i will have a great getaway, and tell nobody about it [what happens in vegas, stays in vegas]. with or without expanding our family, we will out-grow our house, and be forced to find land [and a location], where we can play architect and client and design/build our dream home for 2008. RESOLUTION:as many say, i will get organized...maybe...and clean off our front porch [not attic...that's too much resolving] and began creating and using a meal plan for each week/month. 2006 Memorable Events:
- January – Flew to The National Home Builders show in Orlando for three days of hard work! It could’ve been held in Alaska and not made much difference, cuz I never got to see the sunny outdoors!!!
- February – I don’t really remember February, I must have been frozen!
- March – I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and I’m still not positive how to spell it!
- April – I left my regular paycheck with True North Architecture to begin True North Real Estate! All in all, it was a pretty successful year for a brand new business! Lots of hours, a little luck, and a lot of FAITH!
- May – we added Alexa Rose Pearson to the Pearson CAST of stars – another awesome experience having a child! I have a feeling I’m in for trouble now having a daughter!
- June – I joined a real estate golf league – bound a determined that if I play more, I will get better! And do a little networking too!
- July – One of my babies turned 2 years old and the other turned 27! We went to the Ionia Free Fair, and discovered that Colin has is Mom’s love for fast carnival rides! I pushed to stroller pretty fast, so Alex had fun too!
- August – Holy Cow! Five years married to my best friend! I AM THE LUCKIEST MAN ALIVE!

- September – I went golfing with Dad & Tom, and must be my golf league paid off, cuz I shot 39 on the front 9 holes! Notice I didn’t mention my score for the back nine!

- October – Colin was a Cowboy, and Alex was flapper! We had a family Halloween party to go to, so we all had 20’s gangster & flapper costumes…I thought…

- November – I found out that my wife had been lying to me for months! She planned the best and most involved surprise 30th birthday party for me! It was a roaring 20’s murder mystery! It was such a good time – the attendees ranged from co-workers to friends & relatives to grandparents! And outside of my case of raging tonsillitis (and my inability to eat or drink) it was one of the best presents ever! Once again, I’m reminded what an amazing wife I have!!!
- December – Christmas is one of the best times with kids! Colin is old enough to really get the whole Santa thing, and boy was he ready for it! We watched the Polar Express more times than I can count, and went to Meijer Garden where they have a huge Polar Express display running all through the greenhouses, and a bunch of Christmas trees….and Santa!!! Well, it was just one of Santa’s helpers – ok, maybe it was one of his “junior” helpers! Colin and Alex both warmed right up to him – and Alex tried to yank Santa’s beard off! Colin asked Santa for a choo-choo train, and Santa came through! He’s being playing with it everyday!

Obviously, I’ve left out a lot of smaller (but no less memorable) events like day trips to Silver Lake, date nights with Steph, and many trips to Meijer fish with CT & Alex – but it’s obvious how God has (and continues to) blessed me and my family! I thank and praise Him for everyday I get to spend with Stephanie, Colin, Alexa, and all of my family and friends!
To all who read this, Best of Luck and God Bless YOU in 2007!
